Advisory Board
The New York Comprehensive Center Advisory Board (NYCCAB) works with the NYCC to provide feedback on
- allocating the Center’s resources within New York State based on the U.S. Department of Education guidelines for state technical assistance.
- monitoring and addressing the educational needs of the state on an ongoing basis.
- maintaining a high standard of quality in the performance of the Center’s activities.
- carrying out the Center’s duties in a manner that promotes progress toward improving student academic achievement.
The NYCCAB membership reflects a balanced representation of educational stakeholders throughout the state. All members are approved by the Commissioner and Governor of New York State. The Board is composed of the New York State Commissioner of Education, or his designee, and representation from parents, practicing educators, higher education, business, research, and state education department leaders from the offices of Elementary, Middle, Secondary and Continuing Education. The NYCCAB meets annually.
