Welcome to the New York Formative Assessment Project website. The New York Formative Assessment Project was created to implement formative assessment practices in a New York school district in order to provide lessons learned from the implementation to the New York State Education Department. The project is a joint effort of the Assessment and Accountability Comprehensive Center, the New York Comprehensive Center, the New York State Education Department, and the Syracuse City School District.

This website serves as a dissemination vehicle to share materials developed and used by project partners during the project’s implementation. The “Staff Picks” toolbar to the right highlights resources that the Team found to be especially useful.

The video playlist below features interviews with members of the New York Formative Assessment Project Team. The interviews document these team members’ key takeaways, and can inform the planning and implementation of future formative assessment initiatives.
